Most people choose the Great Barrier Reef or Thailand as the place where they learn to dive, where the water is 26 degrees plus - for some reason my girlfriend and I learnt to dive in Tasmania where the outside pool is about 15 degrees and the sea temperature is about 16 degrees! Rather chillie!
We learnt with these guys and the standard of teaching was just fantastic - they were great and good fun aswell

also it makes for a different landscapes with kelp forests and bolders the size of cars to swim around
